Covered bridges..at dusk?

I was thinking about doing some of my covered bridges photos at dusk. Depending on how the bridges are lit, the photos could be interesting.

I am staying up in Rutland next week and wanted to know if there are opinions on what area bridges might be the best (based upon their lighting, etc.)to attempt photos at dusk.

Thanks.....Rick

There are a bunch of covered bridges within 30 minutes of Rutland. There's one over the lower Clarendon Gorge just south of Rutland. Go south on Route 7 past the airport, then turn left on Gorge Road. If you can get the right angle it might be good at sunset because the gorge runs east west. It's pretty tight though.

There are several in and near Woodstock, on Route 4 over a river that runs generally west to east. Might get good light at sunset. One is right in the middle of Woodstock village. Note that the sun can go behind the mountains in these areas a good hour before sunset.

VTLIVING.com lists most of the bridges in the state.

BM...good question

I always thought they had electric lighting in them at night, so that was my angle on perhaps using thus lighting to augment the scene.

Thx.....

The only 2 covered bridges that are lighted that I know of are the Powerhouse Bridge off route 100C in Johnson and the Windsor - Cornish Bridge on Bridge Street in Windsor,Vt.(It's also the logest covered bridge in the USA)
