It’s here… peak foliage is emerging across Vermont! Peak conditions and even some late-stage color is being seen across higher elevations and in the northernmost part of the state. Central Vermont is approaching peak, while early phases have debuted in the Champlain and Connecticut Valleys. Plenty of green remains, signaling only more color to come. Whether you’re seeking early, mid, or peak foliage, there is an experience for everyone.
Rains earlier this week and the return of cool nights are right on cue, pushing us into the highest extent and intensity of color, with vibrant reds, yellows and oranges crescendoing across the state. And as good as conditions are setting up for the weekend, with cooperative weather we can expect this year’s show to continue over the next few weeks.
Best Bets for Color: Anywhere in Vermont is can’t-miss this week!
