Hi everyone. I am new to the forum and this is my first post. My wife and I will be in the Brattleboro area Oct. 9-11 and would like some advice as to what might be good areas at that time. I was thinking about rt 9 west to 100 north up to Granville to see Moss Glen Falls, then up to Warren and cutting over to Roxbury to head south on rt 12 back toward Woodstock. From there I am looking at rt 5 back to Brattleboro. I've seen some say that it may be too late for rt 100. Any advice?

Route 100 might still have good color down south, but it will be past peak up in Granville. Colors will be best in Brattleboro and Bennington areas and maybe as far north as route US 4. I like routes 5,11, 30,103,and 106.

Thanks, pwt. Since it seems we'll be staying mostly in the southern areas, what are your thoughts about Kelly Stand? Is it driveable in a minivan at this time of year. I was thinking of coming in through Bennington and crossing over to Brattleboro instead of coming in from Mass. on 91.

Oh yes, a minivan can do it okay. Colors should be good except maybe at the highest elevations.
