End of the season
I went back down to check out the snow geese yesterday and the foliage was all gone. The spots that I had been to the weekend before were pretty bare. That was the best weekend I had for foliage photos. This has been the second weird season in a row. I've just finished uploading my better photos into my webshots photosite. If you want to check them out, try this link. I hope it works. http://community.webshots.com/user/hayford31
Re: End of the season
It worked for me, Phil. Thanks for the link. I enjoyed looking at all the shots.

If it sounds too good to be true, its probably . . . .

Re: End of the season
The first 3 years of photos were with an AGFA CL-50. It was a pretty good camera for the time. it had a really fast auto-focus that worked great for the snow geese. None of the cameras that I 've used since then are as fast. But with only 1.3 mega pixals and a 3X zoom, I had to get something else. I miss a really good chance to photograph a male and female moose frollicking.
Re: End of the season

Re: End of the season
Thanks for the compliment. Glad to help. Hopefully I'll have the panasonic camera figured out by next foliage season.

Hello pwt54-
Your photos are just dang beautiful. I would love to frame every one or have the different sections made into wallpaper for all of my rooms. You are so talented. Did you ever think of publishing a calendar or something along the lines of a VERMONT coffee table book? I would buy it and I am sure with your skills as a photog and your vast knowledge of VT it would fly out of the store. I also want to thank you again for all you do for us leaf lovers. Let's pray for a snowy winter with a couple of good Noreaster's and a sprinkling of blizzards to reminder us of Old Man Winter's beauty.

Re: End of the season
You aren't the first one to say that. I have a coworker at the Montpelier Information Center that has been bugging me for years about that. Maybe when I retire and have more time. Right now I have to finish the chores I skipped during foliage season and get the house ready for winter. Then it's Christmas shopping time.
Re: End of the season
Well the foliage season is done for me. High winds have been roaring thru Massachusetts the past few days. pwt54 those were some real nice pics you posted. For me this is the third weird year for foliage specifically for Vermont. Last year foliage was the worst of all years for all of New England. The best foliage viewed by me this year was in New Hampshire and Massachusetts. I was not able to travel Maine and New York this year due to business trips.
Well I can’t wait until next year already. Thanks to Scenes of Vermont for another great informative year.
Well have new 4X4 and will get in to New England winter scenes………….
