Hazen's Notch Road

Does anyone know how the foliage is on that road now? We enjoyed that drive two years ago even though we were a little late. Would really like to try it again.

You are the best! I'm glad gas prices have gone back down so it's not costing you an arm and a leg to check out the routes for us! I'm really disappointed to hear about the notch. But we may go anyway just for the heck of it. Living here in West Texas, even past peak there will probably look pretty good to me. Vermont is a beautiful state--I would love to live there but I know I couldn't handle the winters. Thanks again for all you do to give us the best shot at the best foliage.

My subaru forester gets about 29 mpg, so I can handle it. Subaru is the unofficial Vermont car. The all wheel drive gets you through the winter and the mpg gets you past the pumps. The 8 inches of ground clearance in the forester and outbacks gets you over the rocks in the back roads. Just don't try and follow a wrangler into the woods.
