Thanks, Andy I know where you mean, but I saw signs for No Parking and decided not to park there. I was afraid it was private property and did't want to be a pest. So you are saying that's Ok to take pictures there. Thank you so much.

Hmmn. I don't remember No parking signs -- that may be something new. There is a big area in front of the garage, and we did NOT park there. Instead, we parked in the area over to the side, where it did not appear we would interfere if they needed to use it.
When we were there, there were -- off and on -- at least three other photographers there, tramping through the hillside. I was a little surprised there was no problem -- There was grass in the field, which I am pretty sure was either 2nd or third cut hay -- I know farmers are not enamoured with the idea of tramping that down. We tried to stay out of that and stay at the edges of the field as much as possible -- but others didn't. I know people have been photographing that scene from that field for years, because I found it in the Kaplan Book.
If there is really no parking, I would think you could park along one of the drives in the cemetary accross the street and walk over. With a little more color in those mountains, it should be a pretty worthwhile scene to go for. If you time it right, there are cows that will walk toward the barn in the foreground also. Good luck

I enjoy the Macks Mountain Road. It starts as Church Street in Peacham just past the town garage and ends on route US 2. The Kieser Pond Road was a good ride. It starts off the Peacham Road across from Ewell's Pond. There is a covered bridge at the Jct of the River Road and the Greenbank Hollow Road. The River Road starts off the Peacham Road in Harvey's Hollow. This question is sort of like asking me what flavor of chocolate I like the best. I also like the Garland Hill Road out of West Barnet.
