Argh, I don't know where to go....

Help! I am so confused. :)

The northern part of VT I toured last week, the central part has bad color, the south is bad or too green depending on where you look.

I am told the Adirondacks are past peak, the Whites I am not sure about, and now the bloody weather is suppose to be bad AGAIN for the first half of this week up north. :(

Any suggestions for what to do to find some good color and scenery for the first half of this week?

The higher elevations south of Rt. 9 are starting to turn. For instance, around Sadawaga Pond. I was there on Friday and there's some pretty farms around Old Town Rd. You might want to check out that covered bridge over the Green River later in the week too. Wish I could be more helpful, but this has been one tough year.

bm: I was going to head up that way except for the darned weather. Once again the models and forecaster said "it will be bad for 2-3 days and then get nice" -- and now they are saying it again. Monday and Tuesday and maybe even Wednesday now (!) are going to be cloudy and drizzly up north and I just can't take any more of it.

Chessie: thanks. Unfortunately, the color in that area when I drove through yesterday was pretty poor....

My current plan is to drove over to the Catskills and check that out. If it is poor there too I may brave the weather up north.. otherwise I am packing it in for the year except for puttering around near home.

Hey bm,

I'm actually in Burlington right now. Was dark when I arrived.. hopefully the color is nicer than it was in the Dead Creek area, which was rather dull.

Thanks.. --c

Well, as it turns out, I got called home this evening so that takes care of my confusion. :) Hopefully next year will work out a bit better.... --c
