I drove down through the state today and the BEST by far I have seen was RT 9 from Bennington.
If I come to see the foliage today, I would stay in Manchester, BTW the prettiest and cleanest town in VT,
and not bother driving North, but staying around 7A and 9. 9 is the nicest drive, the cleanest colors,
the prettiest trees and the best views. Drive even further South to MA and Northern NY.
Tons of older great looking trees around N.Adams and Pittsfield.

great report! I'm off to North Adams by way of the Mohawk Trail at 7:30 in the a.m. driving up Mt. Equinox. Talked to the park ranger this am and he said the visibility tomorrow will be 100%! Near peak too. Taking back roads down towards Pittsfield and over to the interior to the state forests and reservoirs.

Glad you found great color on 9 - I was just in Bennington over the last weekend and the colors were ready to pop. Lots of reds! The overlook at Hogback heading to 91 was jam packed!

Manchester is indeed gorgeous. Glad you are so joyful!
