Great reflections! I like the red bridge against the yellows. Where did you go today? Reds and oranges are my new favorite colors!

Belvidere Pond, Red/Sterling Bridge. Overall getting weaker by the minute.
Not sure if I'd come next week...

What did you think of Belvidere Pond? I just loved it there! I've been back so many times. Was it peak with reds?

Nothing is saturated red/yellow anymore. The overwhelming color is becoming brown. Looks like yellow,
but it's not. I just posted my observations, check it out and share your thoughts, but I'm feeling
it's gonna be a very short season...

I think that any leaves that haven't fallen off yet (reds are usually the first to drop) have started drying up. The crown leaves on most trees in the NEK area have been turned for a week now. This combined with the very dry weather we've had has resulted in those leaves drying up and turning brown.
If you get in close and go under the trees, you will see that there are still bright leaves in the interior. However, there has been no weather event to knock off the old dry leaves to expose the brighter interior leaves. The problem is, at this point in the season, any such leaf knocking off event is likely going to take all the leaves off .
