hmmmmm and who might this be?

Carol: I hope you get to go on Stannard Mountain Road and let me know if it rivals that of 2012! Because that year, the road was on fire and we had our meetup with Tim, Phil, bm and a few others and we were speechless! I think I had tears in my eyes from that experience! Never saw anything like it! (Well, except for Lewis Pond of course!)

Thanks for posting this! I hope you get some sleep tonight! You seem a bit crazed girlfriend!

The color has exploded over the last couple of days. Even during the day today it filled in a lot. There was a huge difference here at my house in Lyndonville between this morning and this evening. Some areas here in the NEK may be hitting peak as early as tomorrow or Wednesday. Luckily, there is no weather that is forecast to cause significant leaf drop between now and next weekend. In fact the warming weather may actually work in our favor to extend the peak. The only thing I'm worried about is the leaves drying up in the warm sun.
Why oh why do I have to work during the day  !

I went over to the other side of the hill this morning (the Sutton side) hoping to catch the rays of the sunrise lighting up the ridges. However, it was too overcast for that :( .
My pictures turned out really grainy due to the low light. Next time I'll have to figure out the manual setting to capture quality pictures.
I did manage to capture a couple decent shots:

After getting the kids off to school I took a detour on the way to work and picked up a few more decent shots in Lyndon and St Johnsbury area.

Thanks for the pictures! I've been drooling waiting for someone to post some :D Mainly clear weather looks to be the case with pleasantly warm days and cool nights through about Oct 3rd. There may be some cooler weather at that point but no signs of really adverse weather at all in the next 14 days. generally dry and mild!
As my friend Joe Bastardi says…Enjoy the weather, it's the only weather you've got!!

Those colors look good! I actually prefer these early shots with some green left in them. I think the green sets off the colors and contrasts with them.

Looks like a picked a bad year not to do a photo trip. The Michigan U.P. is looking pretty spectacular this year, too.

If it sounds too good to be true, its probably . . . .
