I just booked a couple nights in Killington on October 8th and 9th (reservations are tough when you wait until the last minute--although, I called the resort itself and even though the web said that everything at the Grand Resort Hotel was booked, they did have a couple rooms). We have to be back in Boston for a flight on the 11th and were thinking of staying the 10th in the Mount Snow area but have never been there.
Are we too early? How is the area? Would Manchester or Bennington be better?
THANKS SO MUCH! CAN'T WAIT TO GET THERE!

Re: Mount Snow--October 10th?
The color should be quite good then.. perhaps a touch late. If it is, just go a bit further down.
I was just on the opposite side of Mt. Snow -- at the Somerset Resrvoir -- about an hour ago. Color is not at peak yet but coming along nicely. --c
