where to stay

Hi,

I live in NJ and I am planning to visit Vermont with my parents, wife and 4 month old baby to view fall colors. We will reach Vermont on 9th Oct and leave on 11th.

I have managed to get two accos - one in Rutland and another in Bondville on Rt. 30. Can some one suggest depending on where the colors are likely to be at that time, which of the two is better?

Last fall, I visited Vermont in the first week of October and colors were still in early phase most of the places. We saw some spectacular colors on 125 and some unpaved road hitting 100.

This time, I planning to cover 125, 100 around Hancock, US 7 (I need to take US 7 to enter vermont). I am also planning to visit lake Shaftsbury (saw some strong reccomendations in this forum). Could you please suggest other roads that I can try?

Many thanks in advance.

Regards,
Rajesh

Thanks for the quick reply.

In Bondsville, I got a room in Bromley View Inn and in Rutland, Comfort Inn.

Rajesh
