Here is Arnold John Kaplan's September Photo of the Month. This is a new scene Arnold discovered with the assistance of Vermonter, Mike Bodi, and is in the New Addition of his Photo Scenics Book.

Arnold supplied the following Narrative with the photo:

Belmont, Vermont, where one of the best scenes of a stand of old maple trees line the roadside, is one of those small out of the way villages in Vermont. It is southwest of Woodstock, Vt., and and south of Rutland, Vt. The Maple Hill Trees are a stand of very old and large Maple trees that line the roadway on Maple Hill Road in Belmont, Vt. From the Belmont General Store in the center of town on Maple Hill Road, go up the road for 8/10 of a mile and stop and you will see the stand of yellow maple trees on both sides of the road that make a tunnel of golden leaves when photographed in late afternoon ffrom 4:30 pm to 5:30 pm. in October. You have to be there when it is a sunny day only, as a cloudy day will not produce the brilliant color of the tree along the road. Even though it is out of the way, it is worth the trip if you can catch it at the right time of day in full sunlight.
