Here as promised (or perhaps, forewarned ): Last weekend, I did a very "rough" side-by-side comparison with my Nikon D800 and "pro" Nikon lens: While there are some subtle differences, and the Nikon probably "edges" the Sony combo by just a hair, the results with this little combination continues to blow me away.
Sony 50mm f1.8:
Zeiss 32mm f1.8:
Knowing how "fingernails scraping the blackboard" my leaning toward (over?)saturation is to Al, , I want to note that other than some "local contrast" adjustments in my raw converter, these images are minimally sharpened for raw capture and very little other post processing done. Especially the Zeiss lens, renders amazing sharpness, contrast and color!
It just MIGHT be ......... well, "too good to be true"
