10/6 Update - Chittenden and Addison

I finally got some time to drive around yesterday. The colors were splendid in the sunlight around the mountains, especially on my visit to Camel's Hump.

For those visiting Vermont who are also interested in birds, Dead Creek Wildlife Management Area in Addision (right outside of Vergennes) is a good place to go to see a collection of thousands of Snow Geese. I checked this out yesterday around sunset - as of right now they seem to be pretty far back from the viewing area, but I suspect this will change over the next week or so. They should move up a lot closer.
