Instead of indicating where I will be for that time, I am actually wide open as to where I need to be to capture the best foliage.

i appreciate the suggestions. I tend to think southern VT, but just not sure where I should book a room.

Southeast or southwest will be your best bet. The southcentral area in the mountains may be gone by. It's colder there and turns earlier.

Try the Inn at Saw Mill in Dover.
The White House in Wilmington.
We have color already, and should peek in a week, I would think.
Lake Whitingham is beautiful now. Enjoy !

Bennington or Brattleboro are your best bets at that time.
