A good restaurant in the St. Johnsbury area?

I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for a good place to eat in the St. Johnsbury area--could also be Danville, Hardwick, Lyndonville, Lower Waterford, etc. We'll be needing a good place to eat Saturday night. Not looking for anything dressy, but also not a total greasy spoon--unless, of course, it's a really GOOD greasy spoon!

Oh, and if the restaurant happens to be across the border in that...er...uh, "other" state whose name escapes me at the moment, that's fine too. I won't tell. :D

Thanks in advance for your replies.

Anthony's in St. Johnsbury across from the railroad station or the Miss Lyndonville Diner in Lyndonville if you can get in.

For the Creamery in Danville from St. Johnsbury; drive route US 2 west to Danville and turn right at the flashing yellow light. I missed the maple pie there last spring but I hit it at the P&H truck stop in Wells River the next week.

If you like beer and pizza Trout River brewing company i sthe place to go. It's right off of Rt. 5 in Lynodville across from the Lyndonville Diner. The pizzas are fresh and they make the best beer in Vermont IMHO. If beer and pizza isn't your gig, elements is a nice place in St. J, there is also a nice place at the Wildflower Inn called Juniper's which has awseome views.

Enjoy,

Ed
