Fall Foliage Festivals or Events?

Hello-

My family and I will be arriving in Northern Vermont at the end of the month for a planned trip with stops planned in both Vermont and New Hampshire.

Our planned route takes us through Burlington, Stowe, Greensbourgh, and back down through to the Brettonwoods/Fraconia Notch area, into New Hampshire and the Jackson area, back through to Woodstock, VT and out of Manchester to catch our flight. Total time will be about 7 days.

We'd really like to include in our plans to enjoy any local foliage or fall events which may coincide with our planned trip.

If anyone is aware of anything we should consider, I would be interested in anyone's suggestions.

The area holds sentimental value to my wife and I as we were engaged in New Hampshire during a trip through Vermont and New Hampshire during foliage season several years ago.

Many thanks-

I'm not sure how this fits in your timeline, but there are a series of foliage festivals from Oct. 2 to Oct. 6. Week-long event hosted by seven Northeast Kingdom towns.
Local history, entertainment, photo ops, church suppers, crafts and tours in Walden, Cabot, Plainfield, Peacham, Barnet Groton and St. Johnsbury.

Thank you. The dates will be from the last weekend of September through October 7th.

I meant Manchester in New Hampshire but we'll be traveling throughout Vermont and New Hampshire.

One of the best sources of information is the Scenes of Vermont Events calendar. You can reach it here:
http://www.scenesofvermont.com/sovcalendar/calendar.cfm
Scenes of Vermont Calendar

This calendar is a compilation of all the major events taking place in the state with a particular eye on tourism. We update it regularly and cull through websites carrying this information to find the really good events. The result is a quality calendar. Take a look...there are a lot of items entered for the fall period.

That event takes place every year and we usually get a brochure from them at thr rest areas. We haven't received it yet at our rest area. Hopefully we will get it today when the brochures arrive.
