Confused as ever (ha)

We fly out Friday and are excited. I've analyzed where to go so much that I'm about to go crazy. 1) Are we safe by driving to Bennington, along with the central part of the state? 2)Will Grafton still be worthwhile? 3)Will there be anything left to see up north, or should we stick to the middle parts of the state and Champlain/Connecticutt River Valleys? We're kind of at a loss on what to do, especially in New Hampshire where we're staying. Any other advice would be great. The previous advice has been great, I just wish it was a "normal" year, whatever that is.

Where are you staying in (gasp) New Hampshire? I'll tell you where to go from there. No fair being confused until you become a veteran leafpeeper.

We're staying all 4 nights in Nashua. Yes, we're Vermont traitors, but we wanted to be near our friends in Peterborough for the evening conversation. Plus, we got a GREAT deal on the hotel.

Well if it's a good deal that's okay. Colors will be early near Brattleboro. Grafton is a fun place and the cheese factory on the Townshend Road has great cheese. A word of warning. The area around Keene and Hinsdale got nailed by heavy rains this week. Many roads and bridges were damaged. Many will take weeks to fix. You may not be able to go directly from Nashua to Brattleboro. Read the post about the White Mountains. It sounds like the colors are still good up there. You might want to consider the Lake Winnipesaukee area, also.

Thanks for the tips. I saw the weekend forecast, but I'm optimistic that whatever we see will be much better than St. Louis this year.

The way the Cardinals are playing, you may want to get back early to celebrate.
