The weather report says cloudy and rainy. My local paper said there's flooding in NH. Should I scrap my trip for this weekend?

The weather report doesn't look great for this weekend. The flooding was in NH, so traveling around Vt. will be okay. Traveling southwest NH will be a problem. Colors will be early down there. There was a video in the news last night of the flooded area and there is a lot of green down there. I don't believe the roads will be rebuild for a couple of weeks in some areas. If you want to cancel this weekend and try next weekend, hoping for better weather and colors, make sure you can find a room. Things are getting tight.

SW NH is pretty close to Brattleboro. Is that part of VT free of flooding? And is there color there? Also, do you think the weekend will have a little or a lot of rain? Being as I already have reservations for this weekend I'd like to go then, but I have until 6pm today to cancel.

The weather is wet and it's supposed to rain for the next two days. I haven't heard of any flooding in the Brattleboro area yet, but there's a flood watch in effect today for that area.

I'd wait and see how things develop. The roads may be fine this weekend, but it's too early to say. The main roads from Brattleboro all run through river valleys and lowlying areas could be affected.

I doubt that it will be that hard to find a room this weekend due to the weather report.

There's still plenty of color in southern VT, and it could be very nice this weekend if the sun appears.

The weather looks bad again for several more days. We are stuck in a pattern that just doesn't want to break. I think it is likely that the nastiness will continue through the weekend but may FINALLY take a break on Monday.

Given how cruddy this year has been I would imagine there is not much in Brat yet. If you are staying there, go up route 9 to the Wilmington area and poke around there... higher elevation, may have better color.

WCAX TV weather shows mostly cloudy with sunny breaks and a chance of rain.
