Fall back Plan - Where should I go

I pushed back my 3 days in VT until Oct 20, 21 & 22. I am thinking I should be staying in Bennington or Brattleboro.

Any comments if I will miss the peak for that area or does the timing sound right?

Also, what city would you pick as the best place for maximum exposure...Brattle or Benn ??
