Foliage is no doubt about a week or so behind schedule this year. I would imagine this is due to the warm weather. We had light frost and temps in the 30's Friday and Saturday nights so that should trigger more color change.
A drive on Route 15 from Morrisville to Essex Center revealed early color changes with isolated spots of bright orange and red with some yellows. Still about 90% green, although the green is getting the lighter hue to it. We took a ride up Route 108 from Jeffersonville, through Smuggler's Notch, and down into Stowe. There was defintely more color at the higher elevations there. Route 100 from Morrisville to Waterbury continues to have spots of color with more becoming apparent each day. Although I think things are late, major color change can literally happen overnight with the right conditions and it looks like the weather this week will be favorable.
