Foliage for Oct. 16th-21st

Hi,

We're going to be in Southern VT to be near some friends. I'm wondering what you all think of the possibility that there will still be good colors after the 16th. We could go earlier but haven't found a house except after the 16th. I've looked on so many vacation sites and haven't found one, or nobody's returned my queries. Probably bc their houses are already rented. We're coming from the west coast. I went to college in VT and grew up in NE and do so want to be able to experience this w/ my 5 1/2 year old. VT is just too far away! I miss it terribly.

For that matter, does anyone know of a comfortable house around Brattleboro or Putney areas for rent Oct. 11-16?

www.cyberrentals.com has a LOT of rental listings for VT and I've had good experiences in renting from people who list their properties with them.

If there is any good color at that time, it will be in the Brattleboro or Bennington areas.

Thanks. We did find a house through cyberrentals for Oct. 11-17th so i hope we have a greater chance of having good foliage then. We'll see. So excited.
