Things are still looking good up around Craftsbury right now. Big tip. Route 12 from Montpelier to Morriville is a blaze right now. Try to work it in. It starts as Elm Street off State Street in Montpelier. The section of Rt. 12 between Worcester and Elmore has some the most intense color in the area.

I drove through Craftsbury today; color is very nice indeed. Only parts that are past peak are the very tips of the mountains, and that is no big deal.
Since I basically never take numbered routes any more, here's my "dirt road suggestion" for this area: try Town Hill Road between Wolcott and Craftsbury. Great views! Standard warnings about dirt roads apply.... --c

Oh IXL, I can see the signs right now. You got a 'digit-tile" camera and a Vt. Atlas. You ain't never gonna be happy until you hit every darn road in Vt. And when you find your car won't do the dashed line roads, you'll have to have a gas-guzzling, smog-belching, ozone-depleting SUV. That's what happened to me!
