Leave Manchester Center to Jamica Falls&Hamilton
Falls
Take Rt 30 over to Rt 100 (stopping in Weston)
Take 100 over to 155 up to Rt. 103 up to Rt.7 N.
Take Rt. 7 up to Rt. 73 to Rt 53 (stopping to
see Falls of Lana)
Take Rt. 53 back over to Rt. 7 up to Rt. 125 (stopping to see Texas Falls & Bailey Falls)
Take 125 over to Rt. 100 North (viewing the
bridges in Warren & Waitsfield)
Staying on 100 N to Rt. 2 (east) over to Rt. 12
Taking Rt. 12(South)(stopping to see the covered bridges around Northfield ) to 65 @ Brookfield (Stopping to see the floating Bridge)
Take Rt. 65 over to Rt. 14 (south) & veiwing the covered bridges down to Rt. 107
Take Rt. 107 over to Rt. 12 (south) all the way down to Woodstock for our nightly lodging.
We wanted to take in as many falls and covered bridges as possible but...allow enough time for viewing and for any and all traffic that we may encounter! Please let me know if these falls and bridges mentioned are worth seeing or if you suggest something else. We do have 10 hours to make this journey (8:00 a.m.- 6:00 p.m.) so is this possible????
We will be making our journey on Wednesday Oct. 6th. and hoping to catch the beautiful fall folliage. PLEASE HELP as I am finalizing my plans. We have loding in Manchester Center on Oct. 5 and Woodstock on the evening of Oct. 6th.

It's going to be tight. First, skip Bailey Falls. It's about a mile and sometimes hard to find. The Falls of Lana is a must do. I'm not familier with Hamilton Falls but it's not a long walk. When you drive route 100 north from route 125 Be aware that there is a water falls about 2 miles north of Granville village on the left side of route 100. It's Moss Glen Falls. You can see it from the road and the parking is just past the falls on the left. You have to go to Warren Village to see the bridge. The road is on the right and there are signs for Warren. You can finish Main Street to route 100 or drive through the bridge, turn left and drive the short dirt road to route 100. The next bridge is in Waitsfield Village on Bridge Street. Bridge St. is on the right just after a long gray building. For the next bridge go about 1.5 miles north on route 100 from Waitsfield and look for the Tremblay on the right. There should be a small stand of pines just before the road. Drive the Tremblay Rd to the end and turn left. The bridge is about 1/4 of a mile. Turn around and go back. The bridges on route 12 are in Northfield Falls on the Cox Brook Road and the Slaughterhouse Road. The Cox Brook Rd. is on the right side just before the Falls General Store. There are 3 on this road. 2 close together and the last one about a half mile farther. Go back to route 12 , turn right and look for the Slaughterhouse Rd. about 1/3 mile on the right. Route 65 is a dirt road on that side . Drive it until you come to a "T" inersection and turn left. Go about 200 feet and turn right. Thsi will take you over the bridge. You do have to drive over it. Don't let that little bit of water worry tou, your tires need a cooling off. Finish route 65 to route 14 and turn right and head for East Randolph. As you come to East Randolph look for route 66 on your right. The next bridge is on the Braley Road about 1/2 mile past route 66 on the right side. The next bridge is about 3/4 of a mile south of the Braley Rd. and on the left side. It's called the Hyde Road, but the street sign was missing. It will be your first left. The next bridge is right beside route 14 on the right. Now head for Woodstock. My advice is instead of driving route 107 to route 12 get on I-89 south and go to exit 1 to get to woodstock. You'll save some time. This is a bit long winded but I thought if I gave you the road name for the bridges you will save some time but not getting lost.

Oh yeah, instead of driving route 100 to route US 2, drive route 100B from route 100 to Route US 2 in Middlesex. Saves at least 20 minutes.

PWT54 You are great! Thanks for responding! I am printing off your directions and taking them with me. I will follow your suggestions regarding Bailey's Falls and Moss Glen Falls. Also, all the directions and shortcuts will help us alot as I am sure we are squeezing in alot in one day. Have a great day and can't wait to be in your area of the woods! Take care and be Safe!
