Are we past peak in Killington on the 8th and 9th of October? We went last year and were past peak and are hoping we didn't do it again this year! If so, should we try to go south? Thanks all!

Southeast and southwest would be better, but Killington might be a good "base". Foliagefolks tend to gravitate to the peak areas and overload the lodging. You wiil be about 3/4 of an hour from peak foliage.

How upsetting! It looked like we were all on schedule when we made reservations last week. Oh well, too hard to predict this stuff. It'll be great no matter what! Any thoughts on drives down that way, also the best drive back to Manchester, NH from Killington on Oct. 9th to see the peak foliage? We have some time as our flight isn't until the evening...

The problem with killington is it's high elevation. It turns earlier than the lower elevations next to it. There will be a lot of color there, but there will be more yellow and less red and orange. You take route 100 south to Ludlow you will see a big difference.
