There is a lot of buzz about a possible announcement from Governor Scott about lodging restrictions. An aide to the governor says a decision will likely come this Friday during the governor's regular press conference. Inns, hotels and B&Bs have been limited to 50 percent occupancy, plus customers must agree to 14 days of quarantine if they coming from an area known to have a high number of virus cases. This has effectively discouraged Vermont foliage visitors from coming here. Authorities have been waiting to see the outcome of a decision to open schools and universities about two weeks ago. So far, cases from these facilities has been very low. Vermont has been congratulated by Dr. Anthony Fauci for being the state with the lowest number of Covid-19 cases, but Fauci cautioned Vermont to keep up its efforts to control the virus.
