Sanity check for this schedule

Hi,
I need a sanity check for the following schedule, thanks in advance for any suggestions. Perhaps I am planning too much time for one area and not enough for somewhere else??
I have a large number of local scenic routes planned for each of the areas.

I can leave home (Alabama) as early as Sep. 22nd. but it will take 2 days to get to VT, or 4 days if I go through Niagara Falls.

My goal is to hit near peak color at all the locations except in the Bangor/Acadia NP areas. If I hit peak in the Stowe area, I fear I will miss southern NH and VT. I can cut some or even all of the Maine part of the trip.
What day in Sep should I arrive in Stowe?
VT: Day 1 through 3 Stowe/Montplier area.
NH: Day 4 through 6 near White Mountain, NH.
ME: Day 7 and 8 to Naples, Bethel, Rangeley and then to Bangor.
ME: Day 9 through 11 from Bangor to Bar Harbor/Acadia, Blue Hill Sedgwick, Stonington Penobscot Route 1 to Portland, ME.
NH: Day 12 from Portland, ME to Lake Winnipesaukee, NH
VT: Day 13 through 15 from Lake Winnipesaukee to the Killington area.
==============
Day 16 leave Killington and head south to Skyline Drive and Blue Ridge Parkway.
Thanks so very, very much.
Laird

Sounds great to me, wish I could be up there that long this. Tell my buddy Stan in Bermingham,AL, I said hello. I hope to to get AL for the Nascar race this year. Enjoy your trip.

I would plan to start not earlier than the 25th of September. I was at Stowe this past Sunday, and there is only VERY SPORADIC color. Predictions that it will peak there in two weeks or so.

Your schedule looks pretty good. The bright colors are sporatic but there is widespread changes in the leaves on the hillsides. Colors should be good from Stowe and northeast of there. Peak will be northeast of Stowe. Stay as far north as you can for the first few days and then work south. You scedule appears to do this. The Blue Ridge Parkway should have some early color when you get down there, but that road don't need color.
