Bucket List Help Needed
Good morning from Los Angeles! I'll be staying with a relative on Long Island from Oct. 8 - Oct 15 and during that time, I'd like to at least step foot into Vermont to see fall foliage and scenery which has been on my bucket list for the last 50 years! I'm planning on driving to Vermont on Thursday, Oct. 9th and heading back to Long Island on Saturday, Oct. 11th. I have a 2 night reservation in White River Junction, but I can change this if you think I should! I want to see the very best of Vermont's fall foliage and scenery in the short time I have (in Vermont, not in life ) Please help me with suggestions for my short trip. Thank you in advance for your help! Nancy

Re: Bucket List Help Needed
sorry, too late this year. Stay in NY state and visit places around the Northern part of the Taconic Parkway.
It should be still beautiful, I drove it yesterday and it was nicer than anything in Vermont right now.
When you arrive it should still be pretty. Vermont is pretty much finished.

Really? Oh no! I'm broken hearted! OK, Vermont will be next year then. But I will take your suggestion and explore the Taconic Parkway. Is there any other places you'd recommend for fall foliage and scenery? I have a whole week!

Re: Bucket List Help Needed
Read the latest posts in every thread, there is tons of info here, but not well organized.
Cover the area between N. Adams and Manchester, VT and also West and East from there,
Northern NY is gonna look great. VT 9 looked spectacular yesterday too.
Don't go further North, but drive around any small side roads in this ara and you'll be rewarded
