Check this road out now! It is in peak! It is a forest service road that runs from Lincoln to Ripton and ends on the Middlebury Gap 125. bm told me about this years ago but I never took the full route and last year we tried to take it and it was closed for work or a washout, forgot which!

Folks, this is a true beauty of a forest road! I am sooooooooooooo glad bm took me on this! It is not a road with long views but runs right thru the Green Mountain Forest. It started out a bit narrow, a dirt road with minor bumps and small ruts especially near the logging trucks that were clearing out a land tract but it is totally manageable with a sedan! The road is windy and simply outstanding! It is a road that is fully canopied throughout and the sun shining into the leaves was unreal. It was quite a long road and we enjoyed every single second of it! No leaves down here! It ended up at the end as a short paved road at 125.

I am so happy we decided to take this road and I hope you can get there soon! One of the most beautiful drives ever! Get there asap as it is peaked! :D

Thanks Jacky! Hazen's Notch and The Natural Turnpike were two of the best drives in the forests this year. Canopied throughout with peak foliage. Just breathtaking! I am definitely doing the Natural Turnpike next year!
