Where to go this weekend and next
My impression for the last 2 days of touring is the best places for the next week are;
The foothills of the Northern Champlain Valley. This would be east of route US 7, between Huntington in the north and down to East Middlebury. The Champlain Valley west of route US 7 should be good for next weekend.
The foothills in the Tinmouth/Danby area. This would be west of route US 7 and east of route 30. This would be south of West Rutland.
If the Oak Trees start turning next weekend, then southwest VT should be nice.

Help, please. My friend from Indonesia compares leaf colors to fish in a coral reef! Smile
They are driving from Montreal to Shelburne Wed10/13+visiting for 3 days on their way further south.
Need suggestions re:
1.For Montreal to Shelburne: better to go NY Northway/Adirondacks to Charlotte ferry or come down I-89 thru VT? nice side trips along the way?
2.Worth it to go thru Smuggs Notch Rtes 104-108-100 to Stowe+Waterbury or too late? or other?
3.Daytrips:Any hike, car or bike ideas starting in Shelburne 10/13-16?
