Are we too early for peak in the Woodstock or Windsor area? From what I read it looks like peak is still up North. Any suggestions for areas around Woodstock during the end of this week to go to see great color?

The way things are going this year you may be a little early. But you won't be far below the peak areas. Route 100 north from route US 4 is sounding good right now, as are routes 17,125,and 73 going west from route 100 to route US 7. You may also want to check out route 12 north from Woodstock to Elmore, route 14 from Royalton to Coventry, and route 110 from route 14 in South Royalton to East Barre. If you do take route 14, in East Brookfield, take route 65 west to Brookfield and check out the Floating Bridge. Route 65 from East Brookfield west to Brookfield is paved (except near the Floating Bridge), but route 65 west from Brookfield to route 12 is a dirt road.

Wow great! Sounds then that we are not too far of a drive from some beautiful color. Thank you for the suggestions! If you have ny other suggestions of places to visit let us know. We have a 4 year old and a 2 year old with us and love to see towns such as Woodstock, etc.
