I will definitely do the drive exactly as you have suggested. Its a good idea to do the drive back from Peacham through Route 306, and then Route 12. Will do that too.

As for B&J, my wife is a big fan, so no argument as to whether we'll be going.

Thanks again for all the helpful replies. It has made my planning a lot easier and ensured that I get as much out of my 3 days in Vermont. Now all I need is a great Fall.
