My original plans were for a NE fall colors trip in the Northeast Kingdom of VT area (Oct 2-3) and in the White Mountains of NH area (Oct 4-5). When moderators such as "bm" as asking in other posts if there is any color in the northeast kingdom yet and it is already Sept 27, I start to worry.
I think I can delay my trip to be from Oct 11-12 in the northeast kingdom, and Oct 13-14 in the white mountains. At the moment, I think the cost of changing is only $50, but I have to check on some hotels.
Do people on the ground, watching the color at the moment, think that this is a good thing to do? Or will I be OK in the high elevations Oct 2-4?
Quick replies are greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Re: Rescheduling Trip
Replying to my own post, but I thought I'd post my decision, in case others were worrying about the same thing.
After reading posts on this forum, reports here for New Hampshire, and here for Maine, I decided it was wisest to delay my trip.
I'll now be in the Northern Kingdom region Oct 10-11 and in the White Mountains Oct 12-13. (I was amazed but there was no change in airfare, no change in rental car rate. One hotel got cheaper, one got more expensive. All in all it was a zero cost move, so I felt I had to change the dates.)
Thanks again for the reports and suggestions of routes on this forum. And please, nobody post about how the weather has changed, and that Oct 10 will now be past peak.

I agree with 'Innkeeper". If Sharon Meyers says foliage is a week late, then by golly, it's a week late. I believe that the route US 2 corridor would be a good place to set up base at that time this year.
