My husband and I are spending several days in Stowe at the end of September into the beginning of October (and hoping the leaves and weather cooperate). I've done quite a bit of research on various activities and such, but am totally confused as to where to dine. We like a nice, slow-paced dinner as opposed to pizza, mexican, etc. Everything you read makes all the restaurants sound wonderful, but I know that's not necessarily the case.
Any suggestions as to where to eat in or around Stowe? It's our first trip up to Stowe and we are not familiar with the area or restaurants.

Stowe has some great restaurants. Because it's a ski paradise it has to cater to a wide variety of eating habits. If Stowe doen't have it, you don't need it. There are NO fastfood joints in Stowe!
