We had almost canceled our trip after going through the previous years' foliage report map archives link in wwwfoliagenetwork.com which indicate peak in NEK every year not before 6th- 7th. But after reading your responses, I feel enthused now to carry on our plans for the trip...

Actually we were planning trip for 10/2- 10/3. But from what I see in the foliage report archives of so many previous years in some other website, although it is nice, real peak in the NEK region generally does not come earlier than 7th Oct. Am I right?. Thanks.

Pl. suggest which 2 days in the coming fortnight is likely to be the best bet for foliage viewing in NEK? Thanks.

I am waiting for your recommendations on best foliage viewing routes to take, roads to wander and stops to make - driving from New York city Saturday morning to Vermont and back Sunday night with night stay at Barton. I hope I am not too early to experience the best! Thanks for your help.
