Foliage in Wilmington / Dover

I believe we are in for an early fall season. The Maples are beginning to show their beautiful reds and yellows, and the hint of color can be seen throughout the mountains. Better plan for an early visit, with the abundance of acorns, fruit on the trees, and the color of the wooly bugs - in Vermont ...

Let us all hope, this winter season will not be as bad as predicted.
I love Vermont in all seasons, except "mud" season.

Colors of Vermont

Or I should say the colors of Southern Vermont. The colors of Southern Vermont are Brown and Green. You may find a hint of yellow or orange. That is, if you can find a leaf after the rain and wind this past weekend. All joking aside, the air is crisp, with the scent of wood burning, add the low temp...

Re: 1st time to VT -- Oct 19/20

From the Wilmington Area. There is still some color, very little. As a matter of fact, most of our trees are in the process of losing their leaves. I posted in early Sept that we had started early. Better luck next year guys.

In Dover, you can travel along Rt 100, either direction. Go to the Inn at Saw Mill for dinner or a stay, but $$$$, and worth it.Mount Snow has a great spa, if you are into that. Adam's Farm great for kids, young and old, hayrides etc. Route 100 So, from Dover will take you to the town of Wilmington,...

A hike is a must, try Molly Stark Park, and take a ride to Hogback Lookout, Rt 9 east. Great view!
