A Somewhat "dumb" question

I've seen this mentioned in some of the replies and postings, but what is a "maple creemee"? Maple ice cream?

Re: Stowe restaurants

Suzie,
Mr. Pickwick's is also on my agenda. After a long drive, we figure it's a good place to just kick back, relax and have a good meal.
Thanks for the suggestions; I'm going to search out that ice cream shop!

Re: Stowe restaurants

JPM,
You're the second person who has recommended Harrison's to me. I think I may give it a try. Thanks for the suggestion!

Re: Stowe restaurants

Thanks for the opinion; it's very difficult deciding on a restaurant just by reading ads in magazines. Someone also suggested to us Michael's on the Hill, which sounds very good to us, along with Winfield's Bistro. At least I know we're on the right track.

Stowe restaurants

We'll be visiting Stowe for several days at the end of the month. We've selected what we HOPE are nice restaurants for our dinners. Does anyone have any opinions on: The Whip, The Partridge Inn or Mr. Pickwick's?

Stowe vacation

My husband and I are spending several days in Stowe at the end of September into the beginning of October (and hoping the leaves and weather cooperate). I've done quite a bit of research on various activities and such, but am totally confused as to where to dine. We like a nice, slow-paced dinner as...

Re: Stowe and foliage

Thanks so much for your advice. We haven't quite decided where we are staying yet, but we've got it narrowed down to two or three that we like the best. I haven't looked into restaurants at all yet. But I've got a lot of time for planning, so I'm not worried. :)

Re: Stowe and foliage

Thanks for the reply. But if you say that the end of Sept going into first of Oct will not be peak color time yet in Stowe, will there be color at all? I'm really flexible with my dates so I can decide on any weekend. And am I right in thinking that the Stowe area would give us the most to see and do?

Stowe and foliage

New here to the board and I've been trying to catch up on a lot of the posts. My husband and I are planning on a trip NEXT year to view the foliage. Right now, we are thinking of staying in Stowe, only because there seems to be more to do in that area than many others. We have options as to when to ...
