What places are a part of the Southern Highlands? We will be reaching Stowe after sunset on Saturday and hence we can look around t...

Re: 10/15-10/17
I checked the post you mentioned, posted on 10/4. The Bennington-Manchester-Arlington area is in the south . How far North can we plan since we will have more time. Lyndonville is also mentioned, which is in the North. Is the Montepelier area still good?

Re: woodstock
pwt54 - Then how would you rate Woodstock-Quechee area? Will they be past peak? I have a whole day of Monday to go. As suggested, we are trying Middlebury from the bridge over Champlain. How would you compare routes 125-100-4 to Woodstock with 7-4 to woodstock from E. Middlebury, with regards to fol...

Re: Suggestions for SW Vermont for Oct 16-17
bm- Thanks for the info on the covered bridges. From other sites using Google I found that there is a covered bridge in Arlington called "Chiselville Bridge" which is the second highest, I think in the US. Is that the same bridge you were talking about? There is a place called Chiselville too, in Ya...

Re: Suggestions for SW Vermont for Oct 16-17
Thanks for all the information. I will map thesse out and make a schedule. From all the replies it seems better to skip the mountain peaks in the Green Mountain National Forest. I'm having doubts if any mountains will last for the weekend for good photographs. The weather also has been kind of rainy...
