Re: Lewis Pond Overlook Directions by Phil (pwt)
Ed, your work is top notch. Really good stuff. Another lover of symmetric reflection shots I see, a major weakness of mine. Sadly I haven't been on a fall shoot since the NEK in 2012 when I did indeed stay overnight at the rest area at Lewis Pond. I drove a Subaru but I think any normal car can hand...

Route 9 highlands at peak with best color I've seen in years
Was pretty to see, though it made me sad that I once again could not do a foliage photo trek this year. Hope you guys get out and see it.

Re: ctyanky is here and is driving me crazy! :)
Was really nice to have CT here. She is now off on new adventures, having fun in northern Vermont. Hope to see here (and more of you) all again sometime soon.

ctyanky is here and is driving me crazy! :)
She's on her way up north for her annual Vermont shenanigans and was nice enough to stop by for a short visit. We're having fun so far. :) She had me sign her copy of Vermont Life. It's nice to be a celebrity, if but briefly. ;) There are bunches of deer around here right now and ct was suitably imp...

Re: My 2015 Foliage Album
Wow. Some amazing shots and nice lighting. The rainbow on the orange tree.. perfect. We never got any foliage anything like that down here except in small pockets. Once again the NEK wins the prize. I thought that with the late year maybe we would do better than you guys this year.. nope, not even c...

Re: Southern Route 7: Jekyll and Hyde
I'm not sure how SE VT is doing but again I would not make an extra trip here. It's not worth your time. Come when we are having a good year - this isn't it.
I wish you the best of luck whatever you do, and sorry, not trying to be a bummer, just respectful of your time and energy.

Re: October 24th or bust! (never mind, trip canceled)
It's a little known fact that a hard freeze drops more leaves (if they have turned) than anything but a serious windstorm. On Sunday morning I was standing waiting for a sunrise hoping for foliage in the valleys and snow on the mountaintops (which of course we didn't get, but they did up north, they...

Re: Updated 2015 Photo Gallery
Carol, I would not shlep up to the high elevations here tomorrow. It is all over, it's stick season up there. The cold snap over the weekend combined with wind knocked all the leaves off above the valleys. If you're looking for color, I think you are in MA, I would look west in your state or CT or m...

Re: Updated 2015 Photo Gallery
Well, as things would have it, I just found out I have to take 2 days off tomorrow to go to a funeral (nobody close but I still need to go). So that is that for my trip anyway.
Come on up, I am sure you will find something good.. you always do.

Re: Updated 2015 Photo Gallery
Just not impressed with the color, and I am skeptical that enough will change in a few days to make it worthwhile.
The last two days knocked a lot of the already-turned leaves off.
I will update though as the week goes on.

Re: October 24th or bust!
I drove around again this morning. The hard freeze is leading to a lot of drop of already-changed leaves. I am not sure where to go that will have good color next weekend. It may end up being a bust.
If anyone hears any reports of good color this week, please post them. Thanks.

Re: Updated 2015 Photo Gallery
Thanks. I'm going to have to really research this if I am going to make it work. I drove around my area today and I don't think it will work for next weekend.

Re: Updated 2015 Photo Gallery
You're very kind. Perfectionism is my biggest enemy. If the color isn't just so, I don't want to go out. If the weather isn't good, I don't want to go out. And so I end up missing out on things. That is what is happening this year. Having a FT job for the first time in 15 years is also a real adjust...
