Re: Couple photos of Lake Willoughby from Mt Pisgah
I have not hiked Spruce Mountain yet. Nichol's is best after 900am unless you want to photograph the lakes covered in fog. The sun doesn't reach the lower areas till then. The bright hills and low areas in deep shadow make it difficult to get a nice photo even with HDR.

Re: Updates from the Central NEK 2019
Tim: where is the trailhead for Wheeler Mtn. I've been on that road. Can't remember a sign for the hike? It is about 1 mile past Wheeler Pond on the left side of the road. Look for it after you pass the two houses that are on the right. The trailhead is now on the right side of the road. It has a n...

Re: Couple photos of Lake Willoughby from Mt Pisgah
From the NEK, Tim, recommended the South Trail too and that's what we are doing! We are finally doing Nichols Ledge! Do you have any photos of the overlook and how is that trail rated? Moderate? Thanks KC! CT Nichol's ledge is still very green, with an occasional red tree here and there. I was up t...

Re: Couple photos of Lake Willoughby from Mt Pisgah
Yes. I recommend the South trail. I hiked from the North trail but ended having to do 1/2 of the South trail and back so I could see the South Beach view.

Re: Woodstock/Pomfret
KC, I had no idea you had a house here! Was this a recent purchase? For some reason, I thought you lived in Florida. At least you may have some sunshine and blue skies! Anyways, enjoy your time here even though the basement is occupying your time. CT No, I'm flying from Florida to Bradley airport, ...

Re: Woodstock/Pomfret
I arrive Wed afternoon, driving up from Hartford. I had just about decided to skip Jenne Farm, Cloudland Rd, Allen Hill as being too early. I intended to try Strafford, Tunbridge, Chelsea on the way to my house in Barnet. Now I'm not so sure. I'm only in Vermont for a few days, and unfortunately mai...

Re: NEK Report 10/3
Heading out in tomorrow's rain to go west on RT. 2 towards Marshfield, will report tomorrow on that area. The NEK looks just great right now, should hold for awhile if tomorrows rain and wind is not too bad. If you're going thru Marshfield, the falls on Lower Depot Rd should be great with all the r...

Re: NEK and Moose Alley NH
Mohawk Trail should be a great route that time of year. Spend an hour or so at Bridge of Flowers in Shelbourne Falls. The blooms are really a sight in Spring and Summer, but still well worth the time for a quick stop on that route.

Re: Epic Peacham church scene, farm is for sale.
Hi KC: nice to see you back here! What an idyllic spot for a new buyer. I agree, I hope they don't make any unnecessary changes! Are you returning to Vermont for foliage season this year? CT I bought a small place a few miles East of here. It needed a lot of work, so I used up nearly all my vacatio...

Epic Peacham church scene, farm is for sale.
Just noticed the farm in the Peacham church scene is for sale. Hope the new owners don't make any drastic changes.

kcflanders photos from my trip 2016
Hi Guys, Just wanted to leave a link to some photos from my trip this year. I haven't had a chance to add any descriptions, but I'm sure a lot of them will be recognizable. I spent about half my trip in Vermont and the rest in New Hampshire, a day in Massachusetts and Connecticut, and a day in New Y...

Re: Photos from my trip
I did the hike to Nichol's Ledge again yesterday. Color is great right now. The lakes and valleys were filled with fog until about 8:00AM. It's fun to watch as the fog dissipates from each lake, revealing more of the view.
