...I love your "Trix cereal" description!
I often remark "Froot Loops" as I travel across Vermont this season

Re: STOWE REPORT--GONDOLA--TOLL ROAD--SMUGGLERS NOTCH
...courtmel, my sentiments exactly!! Was stunned by the Mt. Mansfield/ Stowe area over the weekend of Sept. 27-29.
Thankful that we who were there were all so fortunate.

Re: First time in Vermont - Killington Oct 3rd thru 6th
amsy82, I wouldn't worry too much about the colors disappearing! Was just on I-89 between Montpelier and Sunapee, NH yesterday (Oct. 1), and can tell you that-- although there are definitely ribbons/ bands of peak and just-past-peak colors-- there are also MANY locations with near-peak and peak colo...

Re: Weird season - my thoughts
Hey there Snowboarder, While I empathize with some of your observations, I think you might be tacking a little "hard" on Mother Nature. I'm kinda with wxman1976, ctyanky and mmvt: You gotta have some perspective over the seasons, and appreciate what is there. I've been a life-long New Englander, wit...

I went again this past Saturday, and it was quit...

Re: Lovely Jay Peak - Stabs and Bursts of Color
Ctyanky, what a panorama at the top of Jay! It was a post-frontal morning, so you could see sharply and clearly from the White Mountains of NH to the Adirondacks of NY to the skyscrapers of Montreal. Of course, most exciting was what you could see up close-- the emerging colors on the Jay-Montgomery...

Lovely Jay Peak - Stabs and Bursts of Color
Just spent the weekend at Jay Peak-- Although green still predominates by far, there are stunning stabs-here, explosions-there of yellows from brown mustard to lemon-lime, reds from candy-apple to faded burgundy, oranges from fire-flame to pastel-peach, burnt siennas, on and on... some billowing aro...
