Re: A Glorious Fall Preview in New England this Labor Day Weekend!
A quick report from the shores of Great Averill Lake in the NEK. Having travelled up and down VT 114 a number of times in the last ten days, I'm amazed at the early start of Foliage 2020. Between Island Pond and Norton, there was a true yellow glow driving north at sunset last night. Lots of orange ...

Northern NEK Looking Good!
Knowing that tomorrow is looking to be a great day in VT (isn't every day :D !?), just letting everyone know that the Averills, RT 114, Forest Lake Road, Canaan Hill Road, and Wallace Pond took the big jump in the last two days and will be at peak by Friday at the latest. Screaming good color around...

Re: NEK update from today
Hi all- Canaan Hill Road is a Vermont Class IV that runs from the entrance to Quimby's off Forest Lake Road (off 114) to 102, between Canaan and Colebrook (though closer to Canaan). The drive between Island Pond and Norton is just killer, with the hillside by the underpass on 114 being its usual stunning self. And the slopes along Norton Pond as you drive towards the border are stunning. Fores...

Re: OFF TOPIC (Sort of): Heady Topper Beer, Chocolates and VT Wines
CT- Glad you found it helpful. And you must have a stronger constitution than I do. Two Heady Toppers and I'm singing karaoke! And not well... Two other quick things. First, Hill Farmstead is only open Wednesday through Sunday from 12 to 5 so I hope that might fit with your schedule, but perhaps not...

Re: OFF TOPIC (Sort of): Heady Topper Beer, Chocolates and VT Wines
I can share some thoughts on this CTYanky, as you have been so helpful to so many in their pursuit of Vermont's wonderous Fall. So on Heady Topper, it's still very hard to get though it seems to have gotten a little easier since school has begun. Your best bet is showing up at 10:00 am at the brewer...
