I took a day trip up to VT on 10/13 to see what developed in the Pomfret area. In the past I've been too early or too late for peak colors there. When comparing color along Rt 89 in mid west NH and mid east VT , I didn't notice a difference in vibrancy. It was bursting everywhere I could see in these areas on the 13th. Perhaps the area you are referring to had different results from the timing of events?

Hi ctyanky, Thanks for viewing my pics and the compliments. If you are referring to the red barns shown around the 1 minute mark, they are located at 1381 Danby Pawlet Road, in Pawlet VT. We were traveling Westbound on that road to get back onto Rt 30 and they jumped right out at me to pull over! :l...

I'd think NW CT instead of NE CT at this point, especially if you plan for MA Berkshires as well. Another member states that foliage color is not shaping up in these regions though. Good luck in your journey!
