Re: Kanc. & Mt Washington.......gasp NH

I'd love a report on Franconia Notch if you're headed that way.

Anyone have a report on the Franconia Notch area?

If anyone's been through Franconia Notch or on the Kanc lately, I'd love to hear a report. I know I'm talking about that state to the east, so my apologies in advance!

Very nice picture. Thanks for the report. Sounds like I won't be too late for Lewis Pond early next week. :)

Re: Route 100

Thank you so much for this report. This is exactly what I've been looking for. I'll be headed up from Philly the first week in October and I rarely miss Rt. 100. The "official" state road closure map seemed rather out of date the last time I checked. Your first-hand report is really appreciated.

Check out http://bedbugregistry.com/. That's what we did. Of course, like everything on the internet, a grain of salt is advised.

Definitely don't wait to book lodging. But with that said, I was surprised last year at the number of vacancy signs in North Conway, NH during the week before Columbus weekend. Granted, these were not 4-star hotels. No doubt people are still traveling less due to the economy.

The route looked interesting on the map so I wanted to check it out. The foliage generally was not as spectacular ar...
