aspen: thanks for the kind words. i can't believe what i've been missing every fall season.

to andy: yes i was using a circular polarizer to get the deep blue skies and minimize reflections. the exact filter i use is the singh-ray colorcombo - it is a polarizer + color enhancer in one filter. it is fairly expensive but i love it to death because i'm primarily a landscape person.
