Re: Suggestions for Wednesday (10/1)? Map of where I have be

I did a very similar day trip on Saturday from the North Shore. I headed up 93 and color was popping from just below Franconia Notch to just north of the notch (color was just starting in the notch itself). Great reds and oranges this year! I drove up 135 to Lancaster (NH), across to 102 in VT, and ...

Re: Oct 8th, 2012 Report

Thanks for posting this report. I was thinking of a day trip to the Woodstock area from NE Mass next weekend, but it sounds like the colors may be pretty well gone by then. Back to the drawing board...

Re: {The} Photo That Sums Up My Vermont Trip

GREAT photo! Just goes to show that you can get some great "moody" pictures even when the weather isn't cooperating. Thanks for sharing!

You're right, those Vermont colors are stunning! I'm leaving early tomorrow morning, so I'll have to see where I end up!

Re: New Hampshire (gasp) images

Beautiful pictures! I'll have to take your idea to start at 175 in Ashfield and head north. I'm pretty sure I know where that red barn/reflection is, but I've never tried to take pictures there. Something tells me I won't make it all the way to VT if the colors are this good in NH!

Re: The Peacham SOV Meetup has been CANCELLED- yucko weather

Thanks for the tip about Rte. 3 in the Woodstock (NH) area. I'm heading up for just a day trip on Sunday, and am planning to start in that area and see where I end up. I assume the colors are nice through the notch? Another nice diversion in that area is to take Tripoli Road a couple of miles to the...

Re: Some images to share from the Berkshires

Thanks for sharing these - they are beautiful! I especially love the one of Wahconah Falls. Gorgeous! I spent a day out in Western MA last fall, and agree it is a beautiful part of the state. Like you, I rarely venture out that way, but obviously there is a lot to photograph! Thanks again for sharing!

Great shots, Andy! I was out there for 2 weeks over the summer, and didn't feel like I had scratched the surface. Looking forward to seeing more of your photos!

Great photos, Carol! I always enjoy seeing your photos, as they really capture the essence of Vermont in the fall! I especially liked the one of the kids riding bikes down the road - what a great capture! Thanks for sharing!

It did look like they were doing some work on North Pownal Rd., but it was passable when I was there. I'm sure there would still be some good color in the Bennington area in the next couple of weeks. There was still a good amount of green this past weekend.

Thank you! If you go to Carpenter Hill, I imagine the views would be even more breathtaking starting from North Pownal Road on the south end. Once you go over the crest of the hill, the views would just open up. I started from the north end, and had to constantly check the rear view mirror to see th...

Here are a few photos from the last couple of weekends in Vermont. Despite the lack of color in some areas, there was still plenty to photograph! Kirby Mtn. I spent the weekend in Bennington, and found the same conditions. Some nice color up in Manchester/Arlington, and also around Danby. Having never been to Bennington, I didn't know what to expect, but had a great weekend! The colors are a little spotty, but some very nice golds and yellows with a few...
