Can't wait for Fall!

You're not the only fanatic! I'm so looking forward to Fall! I've been away from the forum for a while...part of it because life gets so busy and the other part is jealousy!...jealousy over reading all of your wonderful stories about your visits to Vermont and not being able to make a trip! Hahaha! ...

Great Poem

How funny and fantastic! I'm a little late reading this poem. I've been absent...partly because I've been busy.....but mostly because I'm jealous. I was unable to make a trip to Vermont this Fall and it has made me sad. Last year was my first trip and I absolutely fell in love! I was hoping to...

Fairy Tale Farm and Belding House B&B

I haven't been on the forum much since my trip last year but I was going back through posts and really wanted to give a few recommendations for your requested areas of Middlebury, and Stowe. We had a wonderful time at the charming Fairy Tale Farm in Middlebury and the fabulous Belding House B&B in M...

Hi Aspen. A great resource for you would be the Vermont Farms Association website... www.vtfarms.org[url]

They have lots of information on "farm stays" and the locations of most of the Vermont farms that host guests.

Finally...pictures from 10/4-10/9 trip!

Hello everyone! With the popularity of digital cameras these days...I forgot how annoying it can be to wait for your film to be developed and photos printed! Ahh! I FINALLY have my photos back from my trip. We had a wonderful time and just like many of you, I have fallen in love with Vermont! I thou...

Abby: I agree with everyone. Your pictures are great!

I just got back from my first Vermont trip and it was absolutely wonderful! We traveled all over the state but stayed in the areas of Bridport, Moretown, and Woodstock. Just gorgeous! I hope to post pictures and a full report soon.

I'm leaving tomorrow for my first trip to Vermont! I'm having the same thoughts as "courtmel"....I hope the colors aren't as dull as everyone has mentioned! But either way I am sure the Vermont countryside is beautiful! Has anyone ever gone to the Adams Family Farm for the fall hayride? Just wonderi...

Thanks for the info Dennis. I'll guess we'll decide when we get there. I think they are $10 a day to rent from Alamo. Not too bad to help our trip run smooth. Or who knows, maybe we'll just stick to a good ol' map! :)

Thanks for this post! :) Sounds like things are looking good! I can't wait to experience it! One week to go! Does anyone have an opinion about GPS systems and their "helpfulness" in getting around the backroads of VT? I wasn't sure if everything would show up on them or not. Just trying to decide if...

Photographing Waterfalls

Hi all. I am looking for some pointers on photographing waterfalls...in fact just moving water of any kind. I keep seeing photographs where the moving water is made to look sort of whispy or hazy. I think this may come from adjusting the shutter speed, but I am not quite sure. I have a Canon Rebel G...
