Re: Foliage Color is coming on fast

Those colors look awful, don't see any color there at all--But a lot of cold nights are coming soon, which should ramp things up a bit--Hope the Drought doesn't affect the colors at all

Re: Early fall colour around Mt. Snow

Reggie, 2009 was actually a very good year but only if you came up for the last week in September 22nd to 30th, that's when most of NEK and Killington and even 1-89 and 1-91 were at peak, but that was when we had 'normal' Falls, with many low temps in the 30's--Because of Global Warming, last few ye...

Well, here are the 30's! Forecasters caught off guard as temps plunge this morning, widespread frost, its only 36 degrees in Killington right now! ahhhhh reminds me of the old days

Where Are The 30's Temperatures??

Sept Outlook shows no low temps in the 30's for September for Montpelier or even Killington--This is unusual--2012, considered a great Fall(best colors ever in Killington), had 10 mornings in the 30's--2014, another great fall, had 8 mornings in the 30's---However, 2010 was a good Fall, and had just...

Re: Cool September This Year Could Mean Earlier Fall

Looks like they're amending the original lower temps forecast to a higher bias--So, probably still a later Fall than 2008 thru 2014 period, when NEK was at peak Oct 23rd or so, and more along the later Falls lines of 2016 thru 2018, but still earlier than last year's late Fall yikes

Re: Route 114

Route 114 could be our favorite road in Vermont, some years the color has just been amazing, never any traffic, and some of the best Fall Colors in the entire world--We still can't believe what we saw back in 2003, a bright cloudy day that brought out extraordinary color there, 2012 and 2014--bright...

Re: What Experts Are Saying About the 2019 Foliage Season in New England: boston.com

'longer season and more vibrant' and 'earlier' than last year--can't complain about that! As I said, cooler more normal night temps forecast for this month and early October are probably a big factor, Global Warming is giving Vermont a break this year
