Re: 2013 VT Fall Slideshow
Abby, Which ones are my favorite? Every one!! I have seen your pictures along the years and always enjoyed them. This year you are sharing pictures (framing, lighting, mood, ...) which are so good they can be on any scenic magazines or picture calendars.

Re: I'm Off To Paradise!
CT and BM, have another wonderful foliasm trip. Rain or shine, cloudy or stormy, Vermont in Autumn is Heaven on Earth. I'll be all over Northern Vermont Oct 1 through 8 this year (I was all over Souther Vermont in 2010). If you see a fool beating around the bush, crouching behind a fence, under a br...

Re: Vermont in Autumn
CT: Every few years, I have strong itch to come back. Last time (2010), I spent a week in Southern vermont. This year, I will venture north to see Northern Vermont the first time. I have been taking notes over the years from undisputable foliage Queen and King (who else but you and pwt54), abby, bm,...

Vermont in Autumn
I struggled a few days and finally put my 2010 Vermont fall foliage trip photos here "on line". I use Google Picasa. If I violated any rules by posting too much or too big pictures...?? Tim, please feel free to remove my post or just let me know what I did wrong. This my first try https://plus.googl...

Re: Foliage Reports
Totally agree. Waxman. The next 10 day Vermont weather forecast shows plenty of sunny days and cool nights. I am no expert but I learned this help intensify the colors. Wow, in a few more days, Vermont hillsides will come alive in a blaze of colors and there is no Frankenstorm lurking on the horizon...

Re: Foliage Reports
Where are the 2013 Vermont foliage reports? What is this "Seeing is Beleafing" video put out by Vermont Tourism office?? How user (tourist) friendly is it to use? So far, it's no help for my coming foliage peeping trip. Thankfully, visitors still can rely on your website to get up to the minutes upd...

Re: Revisiting a perfect morning at Job's Pond
Thank you guys. I marked both on my DeLORMA map. Jobs pond near Island Pond; Noyers Pond near West Groton. Now, may I ask a practical question - Roughly speaking, in Northern Vermont in October, "early in the morning" means 6 AM or earlier? Just get some idea.

Re: FOLIAGE FEVER!!!
Hi, Carol(Abby): From October 1 to 4, I will be base on Burlington. I figure I can take 89 every morning before sunrise, quickly branch off to Highway 100 North and south, 108, 12, 14, 15, 2, 5, 5A, 16, 114, 232, 302. . .then get lost blissfully on all the back roads. At night, I plan to spend time ...

Re: FOLIAGE FEVER!!!
Strangely, this is the first year folks here experiencing a "humid" summer. We basically never "sweat" no matter how high the temperature reads. But last several days, It was miserable -- I sweat like a pig. The weather surely feels stranger and stranger. I guess I am addicted to Sugar Maple. As you...

Good trip
If you are curious about my poor English - you need to pardon me because I am still learning it. After this year's visit to Southern Vermont, I must say I am still overwhelmed by the powerful autumn scenery and enjoyed thoroughly the hospitality of the local people when I talked to them or asked dir...

Not much red this year?
Northern part of the state has more maple (red color). They turned early this year. Rainstorm knocked down all their leafs. Southern part of the state survived the heavy rain (leafs turned late), but most of the tree there are not maples (yellow color). That's my guess.
